Go Places Travel and Tours Ltd receives a merit award in Abuja

The chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Go Places Travel and Tours Limited Chief Okey Ugwoegbu, (the Ugwumba 1 of Umuaka) on Wednesday 20 November 2024 in Abuja received a prestigious merit award on behalf of his travel agency, Go Places Travel and Tours Limited. The Abuja correspondents of Umuaka Times newspaper confirmed that Chief Ugwoegbu’s travel agency was named “The Outstanding Travel Agency of the Year 2024.”
The award was presented to Chief Ugwoegbu during the 5th Anniversary Public Lecture and Award Dinner of National Star newspaper in an exclusive event held at Sheraton Hotel and Towers Abuja.
The fifth anniversary ceremony of National Star newspaper was an event with a theme titled, “Strengthening democratic institutions and electoral system in Nigeria.”
Among several highly placed individuals who were listed to grace the event were guest speaker, Chief Mike Ozekhome SAN. Professor Charles Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State, the keynote address presenter.
Special guests of honour included His Excellency Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, His Excellency Governor Agbu Kefas, the Governor of Taraba State. Others were Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and His Excellency Emeka Ihedioha, a former governor of Imo State. The chairman of the occasion was Ambassador Godknows Igali the chairman of PANDEF.
During the event Chief Ugwoegbu used the opportunity and thanked the organizers of the event and the publishers of National Star newspaper. He promised to make the award a stepping stone for his travel agency.
