Great 95 30th Anniversary Holds on Jan 5.
2 min readThe Class of 95, (also known as G95) a group of former students of St Saviour’s Secondary School Umuaka who graduated in 1995 will be marking her 30 years of leaving the great institution. The event which promises to bring all the former students of G95 both home and abroad together has been described at certain quarters as the “mother of all anniversaries” among among old boys groups of the great institution which was founded in 1958.
Fillers obtained by Umuaka Times local affairs correspondents confirm that the event will hold on Sunday 5 January 2025 at City of Angels Hotels Owerri situated at Plot 1390-1393 Amakohia Layout New Road by Rochas Foundation College of Africa Owerri.
The following highly notable Nigerians have been officially contacted to grace the ceremony; Professor Protus Uzoma, Professor Emeka Duruigbo, Chief Nick Okpara and Hon Uju Jovita Onwudiwe. Others are honourable member representing Njaba LGA at Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Ozioma Worship Ebonine. Chief Cosmos Maduka (Odoebube) the state Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources and Professor Kingsley Obioha.
The last but never the least is Barrister Chinyere Ibe, the Permanent Secretary (Primary and Secondary) State Ministry of Education Owerri Imo State.
From what Umuaka Times gathered from the president of the organization, Mr Nwachukwu Prince, all former old boys of the school both senior and junior are all invited to grace the event which kicks off by 12 midday.
According to the former senior Prefect of the school Barrister Emma Duruigbo who spoke with Umuaka Times last week, many guests including their former teachers and principal are expected at the event. The organization also informs its members that the dress code for the big show is white.
