How Eberechi Obi weded Chidiebere Nwosu.

The wedding between the former Miss Eberechi Obi from the famous Obi family in Umuele Amazano and her husband Mr Chidiebere Nwosu of Umuezeala Uba Umuaka was held on Friday 29 December 2023 at St Mary’s Catholic Church Umuaka. The Mass which was supposed to start by 10 am was delayed for more than two hours by the new couple for some reasons they could not properly explain. By the time the Mass finally began, several people were already tired but the Mass still went on.
The officiating priests who came for the wedding service went straight for the business of the day which was the celebration of Mass. Soon, it was time to wed Miss Eberechi Obi and Mr Chidiebere Nwosu. As usual, they came out to the alter and the process of saying, “I do” just began. The wedding did not take long to be concluded as the people had already waited for long. The officiating priest called upon the sponsors of the marriage to come to the alter. Hon Chuma Nnaji and his wife to come up were then seen coming out from two different directions. They stood up from their seats and walked to the alter with the wedding rings.
In no small time, which was around 12:35 pm, the officiating priest pronounced them husband and wife after the wedding process. He then ordered them to give themselves their first matrimonial kiss.
When the Mass came to an end, the guests went straight to Holy Rosary Catholic Church Umuele Amazano, the venue of the reception. The reception included both the traditional and church wedding and the two were successfully carried out.
Soon, some VIP guests and other invitees started to arrive. Chief Bob Dike, a high profile engineer from Uba Umuaka was announced as the chairman of the occasion. He took his position and other special guests also took their seats as well. The opening prayer was taken which was immediately followed by the presentation of kola nuts. A brief opening remark by the chairman was then made. He thanked everybody who came for the event and asked for God’s protection and guidance as well as protection both for the new couple and for the entire people at the event.
The time to usher in the new couple was the next item on the agenda. In few minutes time, the new couple danced to their seats with the bridal entourage and some other guests who accompanied them. As the events gathered momentum, Chief Mrs Ann Ken Obi, the Ochiri Ozuo 1 and the mother of the bride was seen making some calls, majestically moving from one VIP table to another in order to make sure that things went well as planned.
The event then fully began. The reception was a big fun and excitement to behold. Several high quality wines and some special delicacies were never wasted a minute to arrive at any of the VIP tables. In fact, the unending supply of food and drinks during the reception by the special caterers was the climax of the event. As the event progressed, more VIPs kept on arriving at intervals. In conclusion, the wedding between Eberechi Obi and Chidiebere Nwosu was indeed one of the bests in the recent times ever held in Umuaka.
