How Royal Fathers Graced the Occasion.

2 min read

One of the most interesting things that positively shaped the traditional marriage between former Miss Chinonso Ojukwu and LT. Chinonye Izuchukwu Madu was the highly conspicuous presence of royal fathers both from Njaba, Isu LGAs and other communities from Imo State. Led by HRH Eze Caesar Ugochukwu Duruegbusuo of Umuele Amazano Autonomous Community of Njaba LGA Imo State, the royal fathers’ presence did not only add colour to the event but it went further to give the traditional marriage ceremony an elevated class.

By the time Umuaka Times reporters arrived at the event, they took count of the royal fathers already seated; Eze Vincent Ahamefula of Oboro Amurie, Eze IOU Ikejiofor of Amandugba Ancient Kingdom, Eze Rufus Anyanwu and a host of other royal fathers was already seated at the royal high table designated for them.

While addressing the audience, the Amazano monarch, HRH Eze Caesar Duruegbusuo disclosed that some of the royal fathers had already left the event while others were still on their way to the event at Graceland Event Centre, the venue of the traditional marriage ceremony.

Chief Livinus Madu, the father of the bridegroom who was conspicuously busy throughout the duration of the event, took time to welcome the royal fathers to the epoch making event one after the other as they arrived.

According to one of the men who anchored the event as an MC, the presence of royal fathers at the event indeed brought royal blessings to the new couple. A woman who just spoke to nobody in particular simply put it thus: “I have never attended a wedding ceremony in my life where over 10 royal fathers were present.”
