Youthful attorney and the principal consultant of a Lagos law firm, Ducex Solicitors, Barrister Emma Duruigbo has appealed to Igbo people across the country and Diaspora to always identify with their people and join their town union meetings in their states of residence. Duruigbo who was speaking during the meting held by Umuaka community union in Lagos recently identified the inability of some prominent Igbo sons and daughters as a leading factor why the Igbo is yet to be fully united among themselves.

According to the attorney, economically viable Igbo men and women need to be playing hosts to Igbo union meetings anywhere they find themselves. This the attorney believes strongly is a strategy that will unite the Igbo people in diverse ways.

In order to lead by example, Barrister Duruigbo played host to the first Umuaka community meeting held in Lagos recently. The meeting which was held in the premises of Shepard Hospital Festac Town was attended by many Lagos based Akalites.

At the end of the meeting, Mr Emma Nwoke, another Akalite based in Lagos proposed to host the next meeting of the union which has been scheduled to take place in March 2023.

New members for the union will be expected to join during the meeting.
