Big Umuele Amazano masquerade known as Ikenado will make a special appearance on Saturday October 5 2024 in Umuehiri Umuele. Umuaka Times gathered that the special appearance of the masquerade is a part of several activities mapped out to honour the late Mr Goddy Ginikanwa Anukem whose burial ceremonies will hold on the same day in Umuehiri Umuele Amazano Njaba LGA Imo State.
Umuaka Times gathered that a Christian wakes night and a service of songs by the Christian community in Umuele have been fixed to hold on Friday October 4 by 8 pm in the compound of the deceased in Umuehiri Umuele. The remains of the late traditionalist and top community leader will be buried on the following day being Saturday October 5 2024 in his compound by after a funeral service which kicks off by 10 am.
The late Mr Goddy Ginikanwa Anukem who was a foremost promoter of culture and tradition played a major role over the years especially during the several appearances of the famous Ikenado masquerade in the community. The late Goddy Ginikanwa Anukem was 67 years old.
