Imo woman gives birth to 5 babies at a go.
2 min readA Canadian based Nigerian citizen and social worker Mr Felix Anuonye and his wife Chizoba have welcomed a set of bouncy quintuplets (5 children born at the same time) in their local residence in Enugu, the capital city of Enugu State in the Southeastern part of Nigeria. From the findings made by the Umuaka Times correspondent in Canada, the 5 children comprised of three boys and two girls were born on 18 February 2023 in the famous Enugu hospital known as Blessed Assurance Hospital.
The happy couple who hails from Isiozi community in the former Umuaka town of Njaba LGA Imo State Nigeria confirmed to Umuaka Times that they have been overwhelmed by joy and visitors from the day the new babies arrived.
When Umuaka Times called Mr Anuonye last week after his arrival in Nigeria, the happy father confirmed that the whole of the five babies and their mother are in good health condition. He went further to disclose that his house has automatically become a Mecca of some sort since the good news of the birth of the quintuplets was announced in the city. Visitors and strangers including passers-by, who heard the good news of the arrival of the babies, usually breeze into the residence of the Asonyes to tap their own blessings.
Umuaka Times gathered that the five babies names were given as follows: 1. Chimereya (God did it) who is a girl. 2. Chianugo (God has heard) a boy. 3. Chidumaga (God leads me), another boy. 4. Chielota (God remembered me) a boy. 5. Ziorachi (show the people God) a girl.
To take care of 5 kids at the same time is not just a task but a very spiritual assignment one has to seek the face of God to carry out successfully, Umuaka Times learnt last week that the Asonye family has already hired 6 nannies to take care of the babies. Three of the nannies work during the day while the remaining three work during the night. This is in addition to a period of 30 days the babies and their mother spent at the hospital.
