Iwuaku Iwuchukwu gives out beautiful daughter in marriage.

Thursday 13 April 2023 was a day many indigenes of Umuaka Imo State and their visiting in-laws from Nanka Anambra State will not be in a hurry to forget. On this eventful day, top personalities from Anambra State including businessmen and captains of industry as well as oversea returnees came to Umuaka to hold a matrimonial event between the children of Chief and Mrs Fredrick Nwankwo popularly known as Nwachinemere from Umudala village Nanka in Orumba North LGA of Anambra State and the family of Mr and Mrs Iwuaku Iwuchukwu (Akuzuruahu) from Ugbele Okwu Village Umuaka Njaba LGA, Imo State when their children Mr Emmanuel Chijioke (Ezekweche Nanka) and Euphemia Ezinne Iwuaku wedded.
The event which started at St Joseph’s Catholic Church Ugbele Akah was a sort of who is who in Nanka and Umuaka. The church wedding which came first before the traditional wedding that took place in the spacious compound of the Iwuchukwus, lasted for two hours. The Mass service started by some minutes after 10am and ended by some minutes after midday was a great lesson for the newly wedded and other members of the congregation.
The officiating priest who celebrated the Mass talked about love and marriage and encouraged the new couple to continue to love one another and live their life and enjoy their matrimonial union with Agape love and peace of mind. By the time the church service came to an end, supporters and friends of the two families came out and showed their support for the union by making some cash donations to support the development of the new parish.
Fast forward to the traditional wedding venue which is the compound of Mr Iwuaku Iwuchukwu, several guests had gathered and were awaiting the triumphant arrival of the latest couple in town. In no distant time, the couple arrived. As they alighted from the car that brought them home, they were busy acknowledging greetings from the guests who were already waiting for their arrival.
The highest point of the event was when the new wife was invited by her father Mazi Iwuaku Iwuchukwu who handed over to her a cup of palm wine asked her to go and look for her husband. Accompanied by her friends, she went round the entire compound dancing and looking for her husband.
She finally found her husband and gave him the drink. The Ezekweche Nanka drank and both of them took to the dance floor.
Many other events took place which signalized that what God has put together, let no one put asunder.
