Iwuaku Iwuchukwu receives Umuaka Times Man of the Year Award.
On March 31 2024, being Easter Sunday, Mazi Iwuaku Iwuchukwu received the much awaited and highly prestigious Umuaka Times Man of the Year Award for 2023 edition. The event which was held at the corporate headquarters of Umuaka Charity Foundation at Omee Plaza in Umuaka attracted several top personalities across Umuaka Municipal Council. The award presentation ceremony was held simultaneously with the one year anniversary of Umuaka Charity Foundation, an organization founded by Mazi Iwuaku Iwuchukwu himself by Easter 2023.
The two events were merged together as members of the Umuaka Charity Foundation displayed joy while holding the two events.
During the award presentation, it was Dr Austin Agbahiwe that presented the award to Mazi Iwuaku on behalf of Umuaka Times. In his speech, he described Iwuchukwu as a great asset of Umuaka people and asked God to continue to bless and uplift Iwuchukwu.
Shortly before the event kicked off, words came to the organizers of the event that Mazi Iwuaku would be sending someone to represent him and collect the award on his behalf. It was Mazi Obinna Duru who stood in for Iwuaku Iwuchukwu and received the award on his behalf.
In a communiqué issued by Mazi Iwuaku Iwuchukwu, the president of Umuaka Charity Foundation, by December 2024, the foundation will be empowering about 200 youths in Umuaka.
