French businessman and high profile investor Bernard Jean Étienne Arnault has become the current richest man in the world according to the 2023 list of 25 richest persons in the world released by Forbes Magazine.
Jean Étienne Arnault who is the founder, chairman and the CEO of LVMH, Moet, Hennessey, Louis Vuitton and other businesses has an estimated net worth of US$208.1 billion. As of March 2023 he successfully dethroned the American billionaire investor Elon Musk who is worth 187.9 billion USD and put him to the second position according to Forbes ratings.
The 74 year old Arnault was born on 5 March 1949 and he began his professional career in 1971 having graduated from the École Polytechnique in the same year.
As the years rolled by, he expanded his business tentacles by acquiring some other companies and businesses.
