Johnson Anyiam appeals to youths to seek mentors.
1 min readSouth African based attorney and community integration advocate, Chief Johnson Anyiam has appealed to the youths in Umuaka to look for a mentor that will groom them on the positive path of life. Chief Anyiam who made the call was speaking from his country home in Umuezikoha Uba after he had officially received the prestigious Umuaka Times Merit Award. It can be recalled that in the year 2022, Chief Anyiam was one of the few Akalites who had won Umuaka Times awards in recognition of their contributions towards the development of Umuaka town in diverse ways.
Chief Anyiam who was full of joy throughout the duration of the event carefully narrated how the introduction of mentorship into his life has paid off handsomely. He described Chief Obinna Duruji as his mentor who built him intellectually even without knowing. He thanked all the guests at the event to help in any way they could to make sure that the present generation of youths in Umuaka today does not go astray.
While responding to the speech by Chief Anyiam, Chief Obinna Duruji extolled the virtues of the awardee and went further to describe him as a critical stakeholder in Uba Umuaka. Both of them thanked God for the beautiful opportunity.
