A philanthropist based in the US, Canada, and Nigeria is making waves in his hometown of Isiozi Akah, Imo State, with his selfless acts of kindness. Mr Kentus Okwudili Nwachukwu, a native of Isiozi Akah in Njaba LGA Imo State, has been quietly giving back to his community through his scholarship foundation, which he established 5 years ago.

Nwachukwu, who was unable to further his education due to the high level of poverty in his family, is now putting his success to good use. Every January 1, he injects more N10 million to the scholarship bank account. This year 2026, he has already done so after addressing his people on January 1. Umuaka Times gathered that the scholarship program has already graduated about 15 students so far.

The philanthropy of Mr Kentus Nwachukwu extends beyond education; he donated 5 million Naira to chiefs in Isiozi and another 5 million Naira to Isiozi women. Recently, he promised to build a hall for the St Joseph’s Catholic Church Isiozi Akah. Umuaka Times gathered that building proposals have already been sent across to him by interested contractors.

Nwachukwu’s charitable acts are not limited to his hometown, Umuaka Times gathered that he recently offered a scholarship to a young girl he met at Imo Airport as he was impressed by her intelligence. His humility and generosity have earned him admiration, with many calling for more individuals like him to make a positive impact in Umuaka. There are many other works of charity Mr Nwachuykwu has done through his foundation. It is the prayer of his people and Umuaka in general that such kindness will continue to flourish in Umuaka.
