Keonye Ahamefule showers Ugbele-Akah women with Christmas blessings.
2 min readWednesday December 28, 2022 will once again be another day to remember among Umudiudara women in Ugbele-Akah Autonomous Community in Njaba LGA of Imo State. Just like what took place on the exact date in the month of December 2021, several Ugbele-Akah women who came for the empowerment program empty-handed smiled their ways to the bank after they all received a reasonable financial empowerment from the now famous Akushinanna and Ahudiye Foundation, (founded by Chief Keonye & Lolo Oby Ahamefule). The American based high profile Akalite goes by the title of Akushinanna 1 of Akah land and his wife, Lolo Oby Ahamefule, goes by Ahudiye 1 of Akah.
During this year’s event, the invited women had already taken their seats by 10 am and were waiting for the next instruction from the chief coordinator of the empowerment program, Mr Kelechi Ahamefule. By 11 am, the country home of Chief Keonye Ahamefule known as Southern Belt Settlement (SBS), became electrified. Songs of praise and dancing by the women got everybody including onlookers into the spiritual mood. The moment the song and praise session was over, the man of God, Pastor Chigozie Joseph took the microphone and preached the world of God to the women. Pastor Joseph who is a senior pastor with Holy Later Rain Church preached on the benefits of faith and sacrifice.
After his preaching, Kelechi Ahamefule again took the microphone and explained to the people what the Akushinanna and Ahudiye Foundation was all about. He further told the women that they, the Umudiudara women had in a couple of weeks ago, sent the list of those who would benefit from the empowerment program. He equally announced that everything about the Akushinanna and Ahudiye Foundation is open and transparent. On this note, he disclosed to the gathering that each of the beneficiaries would smile home with the sum of N20,000. A total of fifty two (52) names were read out, totalling one million plus.
Also, in the midst of the women was Lolo Eucharia Abiazie, a sister to Chief Keonye Ahamefule, married to Uba Umuaka. Lolo Abazie spoke and encouraged the women to make good use of the cash each of them would receive. She prayed and asked God to bless the women and bless anything they would invest the money in.
After the prayers by Lolo Abiazie, the women were then called out according to the names on the envelopes, to come for their grants.
Towards the end of the program, the women were given light refreshments. Then, they sang songs, danced and prayed God to continue to protect Chief Keonye Ahamefule, the Akushinanna 1 of Akah land and his wife, Lolo Oby Ahamefule, the Ahudiye 1 of Akah, as well as the Akushinanna and Ahudiye Foundation staff members.
From what Umuaka Times gathered, the empowerment program by Akushinanna and Ahudiye Foundation has been institutionalized to hold every December 28.
