Klubb88 condoles Ken Nwanyanwu over mum’s death.
2 min readThe group of Old Boys Association High School Umuaka who graduated in 1988 known as Klubb88, last Friday paid a condolence visit to one of her members Chief Kenneth Nwanyanwu whose mother, Ezinne Lolo Cordelia Chigereolum Nwanyanwu was buried on the same day. Many members of the club who came from different parts of the country to share the grieving moments with Chief Nwnyanwu participated fully in all the activities.
After the members of the club had fully seated, Chief Nwanyanwu was informed about the presence of his old time classmates and he immediately came to greet them. He informed them that he did not snub them but he was not within the Umuaka locality during the burial of his mum as tradition demanded.
Hon Gerald Ibegbulem, a member of Klubb88 who spoke on behalf of the group, told Chief Nwanyanwu never to worry himself over anything as the members were all there as brothers in order to sympathize with him. Ibegbulem spoke about life and death and told Chief Nwanyanwu to bear the loss. According to him, when any member of Klubb88 is in pains, others will automatically be in pain. In his words,”Chief Nwanyanwu, we share in your pains today and ask God to receive the soul of your mother in his paradise.”
The organization in its tradition made a donation of N50,000 to Chief Nwanyanwu.
While responding to the speech by Hon Ibegbulem, Chief Nwanyanwu thanked all the members who left all their activities to come and stand with the family over the death of his mother. He specifically expressed his happiness over the kind gesture by his friends and classmates. He appealed to them to stay longer than expected even if the event had come to an end because it has been so long he was together with them. At the end of his speech, he made a donation of N50,000 to support the activities of Klubb88.
