Mad rush to Philippines as “motorcycle boys” discover new base.

2 min read

The Asia country of Philippines with a population of 113.9 million (202 census) seems to be a new found land by young Akalites who have been trouping to the country from early this year 2023 in search of greener pastures. The Manila based Umuaka Times correspondent last week engaged a young Akalite who moved to the country earlier this year 2023. The guy who simply refused to disclose his name opened up on the high number of Akalites in Philippines. From the representations he made, he explained to Umuaka Times how his fellow motorcycle boys from Umuaka (and other neighbouring towns) have discovered Philippines and are now heading to the country in large numbers.

From what the fellow said, Cambodia still has more population of boys who migrated from home to the country. “Akalites and Isu people here are plenty. You can’t even count them bu when you move to Cambodia you see more of them.”

On the social rascality of the boys living in the Philippines, “our boys are still very good boys. The county is calm and our boys have understood that. They do not do any “katakata” because of how the country behaves. Even to smoke here is a problem, if you do it you will be in deep trouble.”

One of the ways the young Nigerians living in Philippines always do to protect themselves from trouble is to have Filipino girlfriends. It is the involvement of the girlfriends that save the guys from troubles anytime any trouble hits them. Umuaka Times correspondent in Manila confirmed that those who have girlfriends have always been saved from troubles especially with the police by their girlfriends while those who do not have are left to their own fate.

In general terms, many Igbo guys are living and doing their businesses in Philippines. The country is still very accommodating to Nigerians as everyone is encouraged to mind his business.
