Madam Dorothy Ibe marks 88 years birthday.

Umulolo Ugbele Christian mother and women leader, Ezinne Dorothy Ibe on Saturday 28 December 2024 marked her birthday after spending 88 eventful years and still counting. The event which was held in her husband’s ancestral home in Umulolo Ugbele Akah of Njaba LGA attracted so many people comprising in-laws, family relations, family and friends and many others who came from the locality and beyond.
The event started when the celebrater was called to do a solo dance. She indeed surprised everyone by her dance steps and people were so amazed to see a woman of 88 years on the dance floor dancing impressively.
After the dance, the reverend father who was from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church declared the event open by making an opening prayer and blessing the “birthday girl”. Kola nuts were then served which was shortly followed by light and heavy refreshments.
Before the cutting of cake, it was announced that Chief Ignatius Iwuji who celebrated his 100 years birthday a few weeks back was around and was about to grace the occasion. In few minutes time, the man was ushered into the event and everybody clapped for him.
The next on the program was the cutting of the birthday cake. This was done with some people who were called to witness ritual.
At the end of the event, the “birthday girl” and some of her children, grandchildren and others took time to thank those who attended the event. It was a great day in Umulolo Ugbele indeed as Mrs Dorothy Postmaster Ibe celebrated her 88 years on earth. Happy birthday mama.
