More tears flow as Obinna Airtel’s burial holds on August 26.

The family of late Mr. Anayo Amajioyi of Ezeunamba Obinwann eUmuaka Autonomous Community of Njaba LGA has painfully announced the burial date of late Mr Justin Obinna Amajioyi popularly known as Airtel. According to a press statement the family issued last week which was signed by Mr Chimezie Amajioyi on behalf of the family, the burial ceremony will take place on Tuesday August 26, 2025 in the Amajioyi family compound Obinwanne.
By 10 am, the body of late MrAirtel will leave the mortuary of Umuaka Community Hospital in a motorcade for his father’s compound in Ezeunamba in ObinwanneUmuaka Autonomous Community for lying in state.
By 11 am, there will be a Christian funeral service by BAC Obinwanne Umuaka and interment follows immediately.
It can be recalled that Mr Airtel was murdered on Friday
8 August 2025 by dare devil armed robbers who wanted to snatch his motorcycle from him. The incident which occurred in the Ekwe axis of UmuakaAmaigbo Road threw the entire Umuaka community into deep mourning. The 24 year old Airtel who was born in 2021 was until his sudden death a motorcycle mechanic in AforUmuaka.
His brutal murder has again called to question the rising wave of insecurity and violent crimes in Imo State.Obinwanne youths and indeed the friends and clients of the late auto mechanic are expected to come out massively and pay their last respect to the popular Airtel who was cut down at the age of 24.
