1 min readThe Oguike family in Uba Umuaka has formally announced and invited family members, in-laws, relations, friends and well wishers to the burial ceremony of her mother, sister, aunt, Nne Okwukwe and grandmother, in the person of the late Mrs Dorothy Adanta Oguike (nee Amadike).
Several activities which have been slated for her burial include service of songs which will take place on Wednesday 24 March 2021 in the late Francis Oguike’s compound Umuezikoha Uba, is expected to draw Christian mothers, women groups and more. The following day being Thursday 25 March2021, there will be a requiem service at the same venue and other burial rites will immediately follow.
In a chat with Umuaka Times, Dr Austin Agbahiwe, who married one of the daughters of the late Nne Okwukwe told Umuaka Times that several preparations and activities have been lined up for the burial of his mother in-law. Already a whatsapp group has been created a couple of weeks ago and many people have been sending their condolence messages to the group from across the world.
Also formed is a burial committee whose members were selected from some villages in Umuaka. The committee has been meeting periodically since its formation.
A visit to the Oguike family a couple of days ago, by Umuaka Times showed that the family compound is now wearing a new look. The late Mrs Dorothy Adanta Oguike (nee Amadike) died at 83 years.
