Nigerians in US wish for sit-at-home holidays.

As one of the groups asking for the total independence of Biafra in the Southeastern part of Nigeria continues to order the inhabitants in the area to embark on a “sit at home” protest to press for the release of detained Mazi Nnamdi Kalu, inhabitants in the geopolitical zone have continued to express their worries over the unending order which has seriously affected their businesses. Last week, the people of Southeastern part of Nigeria were again ordered to stay at home for a period of one week by Mr Simon Ekpa, aq Finland based self-confessed Biafran. Some Nigerians living overseas who spoke to Umuaka Times over the development expressed their disappointments over the order which they described as capable of creating more hardships for the people on top of fuel subsidy removal by the Federal Government of Nigeria under APC.
On the other hands, some Nigerians who spoke to Umuaka Times correspondent in America seriously wished that the sit at home order would be made in America for them to at least, take one week rest from their various tight job schedules. Charles B. (not real name) told Umuaka Times in simple terms. “Honestly how I wish this order can be made here in America for us to take off one week and rest. True true, work wan kill person for this oyibo land.”
A female nurse who told Umuaka Times that she works almost 18 hours a day simply regretted why she was not in Nigeria to enjoy the sit at home order. “For personal reasons, I will not tell you my name. Do you know that you guys are enjoying in Nigeria over the sit at home order? A whole one week holiday. God will bless anyone who orders such here in the States a thousand times.”
Umuaka Times correspondent in America confirmed that several Nigerians living in America, Europe and other parts of developed world are really going through “acceptable torture” meeting up with their job schedules. Some claimed that they have just 4 hours and at times less, to rest and refresh in a day. For them, to declare a sit at home order in the States will not be a bad idea.
