NUPI set to empower Young Akalites via skills acquisitions.

The New Umuaka Project Initiative otherwise known as NUPI has embarked on a program to build the capacity of young Akalites who are eager to learn several skills ranging from financial and money management, to career, skills and business developments.
In a press statement issued last week by Mr Chimnemezu Nwaeze, the NUPI youth director, he disclosed to Umuaka Times that training areas during the program include, software development, web design, video editing, graphic design, investments and trending business and mini importation. Animation and UI. Others include content creation, monetization, copywriting, start-ups branding and more. The program has also been divided into two sections; Friday 14 June 2024 Summit Training begins by 12:30 till 6:30 while the second segment tagged Empowerment kicks off on Friday June 28, 2024. Both segments start at the same time and end at the same time also.
The Crusade Hall Umuaka has been named the official training centre for the program while the trainers include Mr Chimnemezu Nwaeze, NUP-i Youth Director, writer, content creator and founder, Lead Admin Wake Up Africa Initiative WAI.
Chukwubuikem Felix Amaefule, start-up branding coach, Founder and CEO, Generative CAD Services Limited. Deborah Chinonyerem Uzoma, content writer and ad expert. Edet Sylvester E, Director Eneltech, Software and web designers. Ogidi Victor I., CEO Sir Vic Productions. Animator, video and Image creators and editor.
Umuaka Times also gathered that notable personalities from diverse professions etc have been invited to grace the event. Such personalities include special guests of honour, Senator Osita Bonaventure Izunaso OFR, the incumbent Imo West Senator. Hon. Harrison A. Nwadike (Ike Oha Njaba), incumbent NINN federal representative for NINN local government areas in the state. Hon. Chief Bennet Ozioma Worship (Ezengwori), Njaba representative at the Imo State House of Assembly and the Imo State Commissioner for Digital Economy, Dr. Chimezie Amadi.
The keynote address during the event will be presented by the former Global Administrator of NUPI, Dr Austin Chidi Agbahiwe. The royal fathers of the day will be the Akah Ebe Iri Council of Ezes.
From the press statement issued by Chimnemezu Nwaeze (Vinepaul) there are other high profile Akalites who in one way or another demonstrated high instrumentality for the success of the program. Such personalities include Dr Uche Oguike, the incumbent Global Administrator of NUPI. Dr. A. C Oguamanam (Okpataozuoha), the BOT Chairman of NUPI and the chief sponsor of the program.
In a brief online interview with Umuaka Times, Mr. Chimnemezu Nwaeze told Umuaka Times that “NUPI intends to empower at least 10 young Akalites with some funds ranging from N200, 000 to N500, 000 to boast their businesses and skills after the training. The young Akalites will be selected from registered NUPI youths who were accredited and they participated in the training. To secure the grant, NUPI’s business assessment team will critically look into the proposals of the participants and select the best for funding.”
