Obinna Ahumaraeze tasks youths on good moral standards.

The youths in Umuaka and Njaba LGA have been tasked on imbibing good behaviour and emulate positive pathfinders in their immediate and extended environment. Speaking last week with a special correspondent of Umuaka Times in Lagos, Mr Obinna Ahumaraeze, author, motivational speaker, poet and a gospel artiste deeply expressed his disappointment over the attitude of the youths in Umuaka community of today. In a message addressed to Umuaka Times, Ahumaraeze deeply expressed his displeasure over the criminal attitude and the get- rich- quick syndrome among the youths.
The award winning poet whose collection of poems which included Mystery of Life, Freedom Africa, Sacred Cow and The Glory Land and published in 2005 to his credit advised Umuaka youths to “know that nothing great or outstanding in life comes very easily. Our youths should therefore eschew all forms of societal vices and know that sky is their limits only if they can believe in themselves.”
The advice, came on the hills of several news items and reports bothering on crime, get rich quick syndrome and social disorganization among the youths in Umuaka in the recent time.
On the panacea to the problems Ahumaraeze has outlined, he suggested that, “With determination, diligence, discipline and definiteness of purpose, Umuaka youths can achieve all they aspire for in life and live a fulfilled lives wherever they may reside.”
On the brainwashing of the youths by some bad societal elements that education is a big scam, Ahumaraeze went further to enjoin the youths saying, “Let our youths never allow anyone to brainwash them to take to delinquency as this will either lead them to aggravated crime or even self destruction.”
Obinna Ahumaraeze who belongs to many professional bodies across the country told Umuaka Times that he has a deep passion for youth empowerment, strongly appealed to Umuaka youths to do anything within their powers to always strive for the best and not for anti-social activities coated to look interesting. “Let our young people understand that live is beautiful when you perceive it as such and therefore they should aspire for greater heights. My secret is to hold onto the image of positive life I desire and pursue it with enthusiasm till it crystallizes into reality.”
Umuaka Times gathered that Ahumaraeze who is also a gospel musician, released his music album in 2006 titled Child of God. He also published a collection of poems sponsored by The Lagos State Government titled, Fashola’s Song and Other Poems in March 2010.
Ahumaraeze bagged Master Degree in Professional Ethics, Dept of Philosophy, University of Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria in 2016.
