2 min readThe free empowerment program of Odoemenam’s Foundation which is headed by the Youth Progressive Party’s Njaba LGA Imo House of Assembly’s candidate Mr Obi Kingsley Odoemenam has recorded a number of participants in the program. It can be recalled that Hon Kingsley Odoemenam a couple of weeks ago, challenged his fellow politicians in the state to show love and concern to the electorates before asking for their votes. After the challenge, he then rolled out a scheme which will train 300 youths in Umuaka on how to produce soaps and other household chemicals, completely free of charge.
Last week, in a brief interview with Umuaka Times, the politician disclosed that the program which he intends to extend to other communities in Njaba LGA has already recorded some participants who have also begun training. Already Umuaka Times gathered that the first group has been trained and they have also graduated from the program. Umuaka Times also was reliably informed by Hon Odoemenam that over 80 persons from various autonomous communities in Umuaka Municipal Council have shown interest to undergo the training.
Based on the high number of demands by many Akalites to be part of the program, Odoemenam has extended the empowerment program from now till the next one year. He expressed deep satisfaction that many people have shown interest to be productive by taking part in the empowerment program of his foundation. Hon Odoemenam used the opportunity and called on the presidents-general in Umuaka to make sure the message reaches to their communities.
