“Odumeje” motorcycle now N550, 000.

Poplar ladies’ machine used by a good number of “motorcycle boys” from Umuaka known as Odumeje, is now sold for N550, 000 according to Umuaka Times investigations. A couple of months ago, the motorcycle was sold for N500,000 and people were complaining about the price as they tried to know why someone would bring out such a huge amount of money to buy a motorcycle only because it has a high speed performance.
From the investigations by Umuaka Times, the motorcycle is so expensive because of the love and value Umuaka “motorcycle boys” have placed on it. A motorcycle dealer who spoke with Umuaka Times on the condition of anonymity, argued that the motorcycle is sold about N350,000 in some areas of Lagos because people hardly use th motorcycle in Lagos. According to him, “Nnewi dealers who have developed the business secret and skill of properly identifying Umuaka motorcycle boys anytime they arrive at Nkwo Nnewi etc to make payments for new motorcycles, have really ripped off these young Akalites to their collective financial injury. It is the dealers in Nnewi that made the motorcycle to be so expensive,” he confirmed to Umuaka Times.
An Umuaka guy who recently bought the Odumeje motorcycle confirmed to Umuaka Times that after buying the motorcycle, he still spent about N50,000 or more to do the necessary papers.
The Odumeje ladies motorcycle is the talk of the town in the entire Umuaka community which is used by the motorcycle boys.
