Ogunechemba Njaba holds classic reception to receive Umuaka Times Award.

High Chief Edwin Ikwubuo, the Agunechemba Njaba, a one-time Njaba LG chairman and the traditional prime minister of Umuaka on Wednesday January 24 2024, received his Umuaka Times Award which he bagged in 2022. High Chief Ikwubuo who arrived his country home around some minutes after 2 pm was accompanied by his security details and some other dignitaries who came from Owerri to honour the colossus during the presentation Umuaka Times Unity and Progress Service Award to him.
By the time he alighted from the SUV that brought him to the event from his base in Owerri, members of Obiato Uba Council of Chiefs, family members and friends were already seated and waiting for the big show. After noticing his arrival, some selected members of the Obiato Uba Council of Chiefs went straight to welcome him and specially greeted him in their usual way. After exchanging pleasantries with the chiefs one after the other, he presented kola nuts and some drinks that accompanied the kola nuts rituals.
About 10 minutes later, Umuaka Times team was called to come forward for the presentation and after a brief speech from the publisher; he called on Chief Chinedu Iwuajoku to present the award to Agunechemba. He took the award, made a brief speech and presented it to the controversial High Chief Ikwubuo.
In his acceptance speech, High Chief Edwin Ikwubuo thanked Umuaka Times and described the award as an honour bestowed on him from home.
