Onyinyechi Eze, the Akalite undergoing achaere treatment puts to bed.

1 min read

Recall that a few months ago, the Obinwanne community and Umuaka Times called for free will donations for the treatment of achaere also known as cellulitis in medical terms for Onyinyechi Eze. The pictures of her two legs which accompanied the appeal for money really led many people to tears. As Bob Gildof puts it, “tears are not enough”. The people who displayed sympathy and empathy went ahead and contributed money towards the treatment of the cellulitis ailment.

Convinced that the money contributed was enough to begin the journey of treatment, Onyinyechi was taken to somewhere in Nsukka for immediate treatment. The fear people haboured as she began the achaere treatment was that the sick woman was heavily pregnant. People called for prayers on safe delivery for her and God answered the prayers.

On Tuesday 7 May 2024, Onyinyechi Eze put to bed a bouncy baby boy. From what Umuaka Times gathered last week, the baby who is full of smiles is doing very well.

On the health of the woman in question, Umuaka Times gathered that tremendous improvements have so far been recorded on her both legs. Perhaps in the next few months, she will be discharged in improved health and she will join her family again.

Umuaka Times is also using this medium to inform the students of UTI that the appeal fund for the treatment of Onyinyechi Eze is still ongoing, especially now that she has put to bed.
