“Our people should bring home their businesses.”Obioma Agbaere.
2 min readThe CEO of La Agaus Trading and Investment Limited, Mr Alex Obioma Agbaere has appealed to Akalites and the indigenes of Njaba and Isu LGAs to endeavor to cite at least, a branch of their numerous businesses at home within the neighbourhood of Umuaka community. Mr Agbaere who is a US based businessman and a local investor in Nigeria made this call recently while holding talks with the Umuaka Times correspondent in America on business opportunities at home.
It can be recalled that Mr Agbaere recently secured the major distributorship of Indomie Instant Noodles from Dufil Prima Foods Ltd, makers of the now famous Indomie Instant Noodles and decided to open an indomie warehouse in Umuaka precisely in Acharaji community along Orlu Owerri Road.
As a special guest of Umuaka Times correspondent in the United States of America, Agbaere told the newspaper that by bringing the Indomie distribution business at home, he has now made life easier for some traders who go all the way to Owerri and beyond in search of the product from several localities in Orlu.
“You see, I did this just to help our people. Consider the cost of transportation from Okwudor, Ekwe, Isu Njaba, Amurie, Amandugba and more to Owerri. After the consideration, you then think about the risk in the trip. Our primary goal is to provide a viable alternative to our people.” When asked to disclose the price he sells, he told Umuaka Times thus: “You know we are the only major distributor in the whole of Orlu commercial and senatorial zone. For this, our prices are the lowest you can ever get.”
Agbaere finally disclosed to Umuaka Times that he also distributes La Agaus Rice and the depot shares the same building (Alex O. Plaza) with the Indomie Instant Noodles Distribution Depot.
The young investor used the opportunity and appealed to well to do men and women in Umuaka to try their best and bring some of their businesses home. “By doing so, they will make life easier for our people and they will also create job opportunities for our people too.”
