The families of late Ebu of Idumugbo and late Achoya of Idumodoku Quarters, Idumodin Igbanke both in Orihionmwon LGA of Edo State Nigeria, have announced the passage and the celebration of life of the patriarch of their families, Elder Alfred Ukpere Ebu. Umuaka Times correspondents in Edo State gathered that the confirmation of the passage of the centenarian in a press statement issued by the family which was collectively signed by Mr Efe Ebu, Mrs Maureen Omosigho Nwadiogor and Mr Gabriel Ebu on behalf of the entire families. According to the press statement which was made available to Umuaka Times by Mr Ezekiel Nwadiogor, a Lagos based businessman and one of the in-laws to the deceased, the late Elder Alfred Ukpere Ebu, who until his death was the Odionwere of Idumugbo Quarters, Idumodin Igbanke of Edo State, will be buried on Friday April 11, 2025.
A number of activities to commemorate the death of the beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother and uncle have been scheduled to start from Thursday April 10, 2025. On this date and exactly by 4:00pm, a Christian wake-keep and a service of songs for the repose of his soul will hold at his residence at number 1 Omoka Street Idumore Idumodin Igbanke.
The next day being Friday April 11, 2025, the remains of the devote Christian father and elder will leave Igbanke General Hospital mortuary to his compound at 1 Omoka Street Idumore Idumodin Igbanke. Umuaka Times gathered that interment follows immediately.

The reception and other social activities lined up for the celebration of the life and times of the late Pa Alfred Ukpere Ebu will take place on Saturday April 12, 2025 by 11 am. The premises of Idumodin Primary School Idumodin Igbanke will play host to all the high profile personalities, friends and families as well as other visitors expected at the burial from many parts of the country and the world.
On Sunday 13 April 2025, the families of late Ebu of Idumugbo and late Achoya of Idumodoku, their friends and relations will hold a thanksgiving service at the Christ Chosen Church of God International First Branch, at Alishiemen Road Idumodin Igbanke.
The late Pa Alfred Ukpere Ebu who lived an eventful life was born in 1918 and he died in 2024 after spending a period of 106 years on earth. His fatherly advice, wisdom and presence will be missed by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as those who knew him during his lifetime.
