Perry Ekwunazu, wife host high profile reception for ORAUSA delegates.

US based high profile Akalite, pharmacist and businessman, Dr. Perry Ekwunazu and his wife, Lolo Ogechi Joy Ekwunazu, a couple of days ago, played host to the delegation sent by the Imo State Governor, Chief Hope Uzodimma at the recently held yearly convention of Orlu Regional Assembly United States of America, otherwise known as ORAUSA. The Umuaka Times correspondent in the United States reports that the private reception which was held in the home of the Ekwunazus in Baltimore, had in attendance several top Akalites and some friends of Dr Ekwunazu and his wife who came from across the United States.
Dr Ekwunazu who is a top stakeholder at the ORAUSA, together with his friends and the delegation used the opportunity to brainstorm on the way forward for Imo State, Ndi Igbo and Nigeria in general.
Present at the reception were His Excellency, the former governor of Imo State, Dr. Achike Udenwa, His Royal Majesty, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya and his wife. The state Commissioner for Agriculture, Udo Mbu Agoha and Chief Cosmas Maduba (Ebube Isu). Other top personalities present at the event were, ORAUSA founding president and former presidents which include, Nze Gibson Chigbu, (Akaraka Nkwerre), ORAUSA former presidents, Chief Tony Opara (Ebubedike), Chris Onwuzurike (the Akanchawa), Chief Emeka Iwunze and other dignitaries too numerous to mention.
On the side of Umuaka, Dr Chris Nwachukwu, (Ome Iheukwu), Dr Ikenna Duru (Enyioha Njaba GburuGburu) and Dr Emeka Odueze (Nwaka Ibeya) were also present during the reception.
While holding talks with Umuaka Times on why he organized the reception, Dr Ekwunazu disclosed that he was happy to once again meet his longtime friends and political associates at the ORAUSA Convention and there was no way he could avoid playing host to them and welcome them to the beautiful state of Maryland.
“I hosted the ORAUSA Delegation as a major stakeholder in the organization. Additionally, I couldn’t ignore hosting my long-term friends and political associates as they stormed the great city of Baltimore”.
On the just concluded 2023 ORAUSA Convention, Dr Ekwunazu described the convention as a huge success as talks and plans on how to lift the Orlu community were properly held and compromises reached. According to him, the plans to build a multipurpose facility in Orlu town were fully discussed and construction would commence as soon as possible.
Dr Ekwunazu used the opportunity and thanked the Imo State governor, Chief Hope Uzodimma who according to him, did not only give ORAUSA a landed property where the facility would be built, but also made a substantial donation towards the project.
