Reports Umuaka Times gathered so far from her correspondents in Austria showed that Mathew Collins who happens to be the last child of Phil Collins first played for the Hannover’s U19 team for a little while before he got signed to play for WSG Tirol in 2023 on a transfer deal. Collins signed the transfer deal after his performance during a trial which seriously thrilled and fascinated football officials.

Reports had it that the officials never knew that the young Collins was the son of Phil Collins, the world acclaimed music guru, songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist before he was signed; his signing was totally based on his impressive performance according to officials. His real identity was made open when the club officials searched his name on Google and they were all amazed to find out that he is the son of Phil Collins.

Currently playing for Austria Salzburg, a club in the Austrian division 2league, the profile of the young Collins shows that he is a midfielder and has been with the Salzburg for some time now.

A report Umuaka Times came across last week says that Phil Collins attended a soccer match to watch his son Matthew play on May 18. The match was part of the playoffs, and Matthew’s team, WSG Tirol, lost 3-2 to Hartberg. Despite the tough loss, Phil Collins shared a moment with his son after the match, which was captured in a social media post.
