Poetry giant Joe Blaize Akanazu bags another award.

Amiyi Akah born poet and an international development expert Mr Joe-blaise Akanazu has bagged yet another award for his book on poetry titled Soul and Spirit. The award which came from Christland Model Schools Nekede Imo State was given to the poet in recognition of his inspiring works to promote education in the school and Imo State in general.

In a brief chat with Mr Joe Blaise Akanazu, Umuaka Times correspondents in Germany confirmed that the award was presented to during the celebration of 10 years of uninterrupted academic services in the state at Christland Model Schools in an event held on Saturday 19 July 2025 at the school premises.

During the presentation of the award which was received by Miss Ester Chinatu Nnadi on behalf of the awardee, the management, staff and students of the school observed thus; “Award of recognition presented to Mr Joe-blaise Akanazu in appreciation of your unwavering support and contribution towards the growth and development of Christland Model Schools this day of July 19 2025.”

The Director of Studies of the great private school Dr Theophilus C. Anudike (ASC) signed the document. While responding to questions from Umuaka Times reporters, Mr Akanazu thanked God for and the school for the award and assured them that he would continue to do his best to promote education in the state and the entire country.

The award from Christland Model Schools is the second time Akanazu has won an award of recognition after the publication of his collection of poetry titled Soul and Spirit. His first award came from Umuaka Times where he won the Poet of the Year Award.
