Power Foundation graduates 20 from Obinwanne adult school.
2 min readNot less than 20 students graduated from the adult education program in Obinwanne Umuaka Autonomous Community on Monday being 12 August 2024. The graduation ceremony which was held in the premises of Unity Primary School Obinwanne attracted some special guests and the families of the graduating students and the representatives of the royal father of the community.
Speaking with the local affairs correspondents of Umuaka Times, Mrs Immaculate Uche, the coordinator of the adult education program of Power Foundation which is also known as Papa Onye Eze Foundation, disclosed that the program had a duration of 6 months which afforded the adult students the opportunity to properly learn how to and write with understanding. According to her, the graduating students came from Badge B which constitutes the second time the school was graduating her students.
Umuaka Times gathered that the entire grandaunts were all women while the next batch that will soon start the program has 40 adult students. Of the 40 students, 20 are women while the remaining 20 are men.
In her vote of thanks, Mrs Immaculate Uche in a special way thanked the royal father of Obinwanne Umuaka Autonomous Community, HRM Eze Justin Uzoma Ezeala for his massive support and vision in making the community a model town in the state. The coordinator also used the opportunity to thank the graduating students for their dedication and interest in academic education.
On the challenges facing the academic program, Mrs Eze confirmed to Umuaka Times that the program has never encountered any challenge since the inception “because Eze Nwanne provides all the materials we need to work with.”
