Prince Paul Ojinnaka smiles to eternity on August 24.

The Ojinnaka royal family and the great Okwaraojiaku dynasty have released the burial date of one of the princes of the famous Umuaka royal family, Prince Paul Ofotukwe Ojinnaka. From the press statement made available to Umuaka Times which was issued and signed by the first son of the late Prince Ojinnaka, Prince Ugonna Ojinnaka, the burial would be held on Thursday 24 August 2023 in the large Ojinnaka family compound of Uba Umuaka Njaba LGA Imo State.

Umuaka Times also gathered that there would be a Christian wakes night and service of songs on Wednesday 23 August 2023 in the royal compound of the late Prince.

After the wakes night and service of songs, family and friends will proceed to the mortuary of Umuaka Community Hospital on Thursday morning being August 24 by 8 am to bring home the remains of the popular Ojinnaka Prince for lying in state in the family compound in Uba. By 10 am, his remains will be taken to St Mary’s Catholic Church Umuaka in a motorcade for a funeral Mass. Internment follows immediately by mid-day in the Ojinnaka family compound.

The late Prince Paul Ojinnaka was a well-known teacher, educationist, community leader, footballer, football referee and a sports lover. In order to give him a befitting burial, a memorial football tournament has been organized in his honour; the Generation Next Football Academy of Umuaka and Brilliant International Football Academy Uburu Ekwe will engage each other in the football match among under 15 members of the two football clubs. Umuaka Times gathered that the football match will be held on 26 August 2023 at Hilltop Primary School Uba Umuaka. The takeoff time for the football match is by 2 pm.

Umuaka Times gathered that many sports men and women from Njaba LGA will be in attendance during the soccer fiesta.

The late Prince Paul Ojinnaka, a devout Christian, held the Catholic Church title of Nnaoma Di Ebube during his lifetime. The Prince will be missed by his fellow sportsmen and women, former students, family and friends and many more.
