Professional security firm arrives Umuaka.

Chidi Norway (not his real name) who lives in Norway completed his country home mansion in October 2025 and the house dedication was done on December 26, 2025 in his home town in Imo State. The event was attended by many people especially Nigerians in diaspora. Few weeks after the event, Chidi flew back to Norway and told his younger brother to get a security man to be watching over the house. In few days’ time, a Northern security man was hired but Chidi out rightly rejected him because he feared that the presence of a Fulani man in his village working as a gateman would most likely put him into troubled waters with the youths of his community. Alternatively, a young Igbo man of about 25 years was employed to watch over the building.

Just two weeks after working as a gateman in the building, the gateman absconded with an SUV that belonged to his boss, Chidi Norway. He did not only abscond with the SUV, he also broke into the bedroom of his boss and made away with some jewelries and electronic gadgets. Till today, nobody can actually say where to find the gate man because no document was perfected at the time of his employment. Not even his passport photograph was obtained before he was employed.

The above story x-rays what many Nigerians especially those from Igboland go through after hiring roadside security men to man their country homes and businesses while they live abroad. Many people have fallen victim to this ugly security development because they gave security employment to some youths without properly being documented.

Worried by this development, an illustrious Akalite and woman of substance Chief Chika Duru has come to the rescue as she introduces in Umuaka a professional security outfit known as 2D Nax Security. Another interesting work the new security outfit does is the installation of CCTV at office complexes and residential homes.

The company which has its head office in Owerri, also has some workers in Abuja, Kaduna, Port Harcourt and now in Umuaka. Umuaka Times reliably gathered that 2D Nax Security has been in operation for the last 20 years.

A youth leader who refused to disclose his name while speaking with Umuaka Times on the 2D Nax Security expressed deep joy that “finally, a professional security firm has arrived in Umuaka.” He used the opportunity to ask Akalites, especially those living overseas to use this opportunity and hire professional security services in their country homes.

From all indications, this is a good opportunity for those doing businesses in Umuaka and other nearby towns to hire and strengthen the security architecture of their businesses.
