Prostate cancer grips Pat Utomi.
1 min readRenewed politician and a member of Labour Party, Professor Pat Utomi has announced that he has been battling prostate cancer in the recent times. Utomi made the announcement via his Twitter handle on August 11, 2023. According to the professor, he went for diagnosis in 2022 where after the experiment of removing a tissue from his body for testing, the doctors officially informed him that he had prostate cancer. In medical terms, the process Utomi underwent is referred as biopsy.
According to some documents Umuaka Times came across over the internet, “Different people have different symptoms for prostate cancer. Most men do not have symptoms at all.”
The document further warns that if you have any of the following symptoms, try your best to see your doctor as soon as possible.
Difficulty starting urination.
Weak or interrupted flow of urine.
Urinating often, especially at night.
Trouble emptying the bladder completely.
Pain or burning during urination.
Blood in the urine or semen.
Pain in the back, hips, or pelvis that doesn’t go away.
Painful ejaculation.
