R. Obi: The Sudden Exit of a Gentleman

The Obiwuru family of Umulolo Umuezeala Uba Umuaka has announced the passage of Mr Romanus Ajaebionwu Obiwuru popularly known as R.Obi. From the press statement released by the family which was signed by Mr Tochukwu Romanus, the son of the deceased, R.Obi died after a brief illness on January 3, 2023.
According to the burial program made available to Umuaka Times by the family last week, the remains of the late R.Obi will be interred on Wednesday February 1st 2023 in his family compound in Umulolo Umuezeala Uba.
On Tuesday 31 January 2023 by 3pm, his remains will leave Umuaka Community Hospital mortuary to his compound in Umulolo Umuezealal Uba for lying in state and after a short while, his body leaves the family compound for Nnenyemaka Ebere Parish.
On Wednesday 1st February 2023 a requiem Mass will be held at the Nnenyemaka Ebere Parish by 10: am for the repose of his soul.
Immediately after the Mass, his body leaves for his family compound again for the proper burial rites and internment.
During his lifetime, R.Obi was known for his Christian and gentlemanly lifestyle. He was a devote Christian father and a businessman. He was 74 years old.
