Royal Fathers grace the burial of Louisa Ada Duru.
2 min readThere was a heavy presence of royal fathers of Njaba LGA extraction during the last week burial of the late Lady Louisa Ada Duru which took place in Umuele Amazano in Njaba LGA of the state. From the requiem Mass service, Umuaka Times first noticed the presence of Eze Caesar Duruegbusuo of Umuele Amazano, Eze Rufus Anyanwu of Ibele, Eze Charles Nnajiemere of Amurie Omanze and Eze Vin Ahamefule of Oboro Amurie.
Umuaka Times local affairs correspondents who covered the church service gathered that before the requiem Mass came to an end, other royal fathers joined but by the time the Mass started, the royal fathers were present at the church were five in number.
After the Mass, the royal fathers led by HRH Eze Caesar Duruegbusuo, who was the chief royal mourner, like others, moved to the compound of the Durus to also pay their own last respect to the woman in question. By the time of their arrival, other royal fathers like Eze Laz Nwozor of Ibeakpu, Eze Victor Ijeoma of Isiozi Akah, Eze Rufus Anyanwu of Ibele and other royal fathers from some communities in Njaba and Isu LGAs had already joined their colleagues. Eze Charles Nnajiemere of Amurie Omanze and Eze Vin Ahamefule of Oboro Amurie were already seated in church.
A member of the Duru family who spoke with Umuaka Times on the condition of anonymity thanked the royal fathers for their full participation during the burial. “You can see they were with us from the start. They came to the church service, to the family house for the internment and they also came for the reception.” We really thank them a lot for their role. Their presence added a lot of colour and integrity for the ceremony.”
