“Shun hook-up and get married” Charlie Ike advises Nigerian ladies.

US based Akalite Chief Charley Ike has advised Nigerian women to shun hook-up (another name for prostitution) and get married and become useful to the society. Chief Ike disclosed this while presenting a keynote address during the 2025 edition of homecoming event of High School Umuaka 82 Set of old boys.

Ike whose birthday coincided with the event also used the opportunity and appealed to women to respect their husbands and be of good behaviour. He further talked about the type of charity he has been doing to people citing reasons that poverty cannot be justified as being a catalyst for hook-up business. According to him, “There is no justification for girls to prefer hook-up business to marriage.”

The event took place at the country home of Chief Charles Ike who financed the reception. His fellow old boys were really impressed by hos candid advice as they hailed his honest decision for taking a stand against hook-up business in Nigeria.

The old students also played a prominent role during the time Chief Ike was called to cut his birthday cake; his family, friends and former old boy students gathered around him, cut the cake together with him and sang some good birthday songs in his honour.
