As the Church service at the St Mary’s Catholic Church came to an end, the Eburuaja Stadium at Umuezeala Uba was the next event centre where the Ikwubuo family had chosen to hold the reception of guests in honor of the matriarch, Lolo Roseline Ego-Oyibo Ikwubuo. The playground had been decorated and everything was set for the arrival of top politicians, business associates of the chief mourner High Chief Eddy Iwkubuo and others who came from far and wide.
By the time Umuaka Times arrived at the venue, top APC politicians and others from PDP and other political parties chieftains, chiefs, women groups, Christian organizations, youths, cultural dance groups and Umuezeala indigenes and VIPs were all seated. The entire canopies had taken guests to their capacities.
In few minutes time, the attention of almost all the guests was focused towards the main gate of the stadium. Something unusual was about to happen. Children and some others ran towards the gate to catch a glimpse of what was happening. What could that be, was the question people were asking. On a closer look, it was a 20 footer white Hummer limousine entering the stadium. The moment the limo got to the centre of the event centre, a tall slim man who clad in white agbada alighted from the ceremonial vehicle. Behold, it was the maverick politician himself, High Chief Eddy Ikwubuo, the Agunechemba of Njaba LGA.
The moment he stepped his foot on the ground, VIPs, party supporters, chiefs and other VIPs including royal fathers started to exchange pleasantries with him.
The arrival of Chief Ikwubuo then officially declared the event open.
