The Okpokos in emotional pains as mother and son die 4 days apart.

The Okpoko family of Ezebunamba Ubani Village of Obinwanne Umuaka Autonomous Community was last week thrown into deep morning as the second son of the family Mr Rowland Mba Ezerie Okpoko was pronounced dead after a brief illness that lasted just for 14 days. The sad incident that took the life of the promising youthful 49 year old businessman occurred in the early hours of Wednesday 15th Jan 2025.
As the family was about to get over the blow of death over the life of the 49 year old Roland, the matriarch of the family Ezinne Virginia Nwanyimma Ezerie Okpoko was also pronounced dead on Sunday 19th Jan 2025. Just a period of four days gap between the death of mother and son.
When Umuaka Times local affairs correspondents reached out to Hon John Kennedy Okpoko on the sad developments, he confirmed the two incidents and described them as unfortunate.
Umuaka Times gathered that no dates have been officially fixed for the burials.
