Tribute to the Best Dad in the World. By Tpl Ayanugwo Izunwanne Felista Ifeoma
2 min readDeath why now? It’s with great difficulty that I write this. Too hard to accept your departure to eternity. Oh death why. Just like the Bible says that there is time for everything. Daddy, it was time for you to die and you took a bow.
You were a true believer of our lord and savior Jesus Christ. It reflected in everything you did while alive. Indeed you were a practical Christian. A true preacher and believer of the Gospel of Christ Jesus. You followed peace with all men. People around can testify.
Daddy, you maintained your family alters fire till your death. Your wise counsel via the word of God on issues of life still echoes in my ears. You were a true father to your children; you guarded your family jealously. You were bonded with your wife and children.
Daddy, you lived an exemplary life. Never did I see you beat my mum, not even for once. You discipline your children when they go wrong, you made sure your family never lacked. You never avoided or ignored your responsibilities to your family. You never joked with our studies. You were a father indeed.
Even after marriage, you still stood by me. You kept checking up on my family. No week passes by without getting a call from you. You were always the first person to call me on my birthdays to pray and bless me.
Chai!!! No wonder I cried at this year’s birthday because you fell ill and could not talk, I pleaded with you over the phone to wish me happy birthday Adam but you couldn’t. Eight days later, you kicked the bucket. Chai! Obi agbawalam (my heart is broken).
I have a lot of things to discuss with you; oh this is a big blow. Well, I will not question God, he knows why and he knows the best for you. The vacuum your demise has created cannot be filled by anyone.
My solace is that I know we shall meet over there in heaven someday at the resurrection morning. I and my siblings say thank you for your love, care, advice, encouragement, support, etc and we promise to upload your legacy, thank God we came from your loins.
Adieu the world best daddy
Adieu my father and friend
Adieu my goal getter and achiever
Adieu man of peace
Adieu man of truth
Adieu man of integrity.
Your First Child
