UGBELE PG: Nnabuo Obi drums support for Uche Nnuji.

International businessman and youthful community leader, Mazi Nnabuo Obi has endorsed the candidacy of Mr Uche Nnuji for the office of the president-general of Ugbele Akah Autonomous Community in Njaba LGA. Mazi Nnabuo Obi made this known to Umuaka Times in an official telephone call he made to the newspaper last week.
While giving his reasons for his support for Mr Nnuji to be elected the next president-general of the community, Obi described Nnuji as educated, honest and a man with listening ears who has no room for nonsense. “Mr Uche Nnuji has what it takes to take our community from where it is today to greater heights,” Mazi Nnabuo told Umuaka Times.
Fondly referred to as Nwa Chi Na Awara Ji 1 of Umuaka used the opportunity and called upon all Ugbele youths, Christian fathers and mothers as well as every other stakeholder in the community to work out the possibility and elect Uche Nnuji as the next president-general of the community.
On his own part, it appears Mr Nnuji is already prepared for the position he is vying for. Last week, Umuaka Times local affairs correspondents received a document where Mr Uche Nnuji who is now referred to as the man of the moment painted a graphic picture of his personality and what he has to offer to his people if elected.
The document reads, “My name is Uchechukwu Nnuji from Umudinji, Ugbele Okwu, Ugbele Akah.
I am a Clinical/Lifespan Developmental Psychologist. And I’m currently attached to Imo State University, Owerri. And I consult for Don Guanella Centre for Special Children, Nnebukwu, Oguta, Imo State.
I am currently the Global Administrator of Umuaka Intelligentsia and Deputy Global Administrator of New Umuaka Project Initiative (NUPI). I was the Aba (Anglican) Diocesan EFAC Leader for over six years. I also led Ugbele Academia as the president for over four year while it lasted. I was elected the State Coordinator and National Secretary of APC Youth and Student Council (but resigned based on personal principle). I’m a BOT member of National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) only to mention but a few. I am married to one wife and have four children.
After due consultations and considerations with my family and few individuals, I have decided to offer myself to serve the good people of Ugbele as the President General of the Town Union.
And before making it public, I thought it wise to consult with very few important/key stakeholders in Ugbele which you are one of them.
Dearly beloved, I seek your consent and support to serve Ugbele.
And my major burden is the Unity of Ugbele. In seeking this unity, I promise to exhibit high level of administrative transparency and proactive leadership as it concerns security, social and economic development of Ugbele and sincere motivational package in the educational welfare of our children.
I promise to render exceptional leadership backed with years of experience and testimonials of past leadership success both within and outside Ugbele/Umuaka.
This is not one of those campaign promises made for political gains but to seek your consent based on your personal conviction of who I am. Make your enquiry, if you are convinced that Ugbele deserves leadership with excellence and that I am qualified, then give me your support. But if you find out that I have dubious or questionable character, please don’t support me. Let’s give Ugbele a bold step forward. “
