Umuaka developments: WCC, Umuaka Times to the rescue.

The security situation in the entire South East Nigeria now has become a big source of worry to South Easterners who live both in the country and abroad. Many police stations are not burnt by unknown persons and several persons have also been murdered including security officers. Last week, it was reported in several whatsapp groups operating in the community that a group of men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen was cited at the axis of the boundaries between Obinwanne Umuaka and Amurie.
The moment this news got to the public, the vibrant Obinwanne youths swung into action in search of the marauders. at the end of the search, nobody was found.
this incident, coupled with other violent incidents such as armed robberies, snatching of motorcycles, ambush of bank customers and more have led the Barrister Lesley Chinwe Agams led Women’s Crisis Centre to call a stakeholders meeting in the community. The meeting which will discuss the situation of things in Umuaka, development of the community and the unveiling of the website donated to the community by Agams will have Umuaka Times, first ladies(ndi ugoeze) and the presidents-general of Umuaka Ebe Iri.
The meeting, from all indications will be the first time the first ladies in Umuaka town will be recognized and called to participate in a meeting with other stakeholders.
