Umuezeala Uba women mark end of 2024 August Meeting.

The Umuezeala Uba Umuaka women last Monday being August 26, 2024 marked their end of the 2024 edition of August Meeting. The event which took place in Obi Nwakaodu in Umuisii Umuezeala Uba attracted several Umuezeala men and other guests from other parts of the country and the United States. First, the three communities that made up Umuezeala which are, Umuagba, Umuisii and Umulolo were adequately represented by their women who dressed in their special uniforms according to where they came from.
The chairman of Umuisii general assembly, Mazi Chidi Jinali, Obinna Iwuamanam, the chairman of Umuagba community and Chief Marcel Obiagwu (the first son of Umuaka) were all present during the event. Umuaka Times also noted the presence of Ambassador Uju Onwudiwe, a high profile APC member and Lolo Florence Nwaikwu, another APC member and an Umuaka Ward 1 councillorship aspirant during the event.
The occasion began with the celebration of a high Mass at the venue which began around 11 am. After the Mass, the event kicked off formally. First, the leader of Umuezeala women Dr Lolo Nneoma Ngozi Dike took the microphone and welcomed all the women and other guests who attended the event. She gave a rundown of the events slated for the day which included, the presentation of “ite omumu”, drama, match past, “true false news and the main event of the day which is launching.
There was another important segment of the event which was all about health and healthy living. Two health officials who were specially invited to discuss health, addressed some health issues and administered drugs to some of the women after some diagnosis.
Some of the illustrious sons of the community who graced the event used the opportunity and thanked the women and encouraged them to continue to take care of the home front.
Several men and women who were present during the event thanked the Umuezeala women and pledged their support during the hosting of the next edition of August meeting which comes up in August 2025.
Umuaka Times can authoritatively confirm that the 2024 edition of August Meeting by ndiome Umuezeala was a great success which has indeed opened a new vista for the community.
