Umuezikeukwu community creates new road.

The Umuezikeukwu kindred in Uba Umuaka Autonomous Community last week created a new road which links the kindred with her nearby kindred of Umuezeala Uba. The road which starts from Ama Chief Aloy Adigwe in Umuezikeukwu and joins Umuisii Road close to Ama Nwa-ama or Ama Eburuaja was created to enhance free movement of people and goods as Umuaka is fast becoming an urban area.
When Umuaka Times visited the road last week, it was discovered that the caterpillar that graded the road did a very good job as the road became motorable immediately after the caterpillar works.
An Umuezikeukwu youth who simply gave his name as Califo while speaking with local reporters from Umuaka Times, disclosed that the new road shows the unity, love and spirit of oneness in the community as the whole project was a reflection of community efforts.
According to him, Umuezikeukwu is set to give a facelift to all her roads and even create more roads as time goes. He used the opportunity and thanked all the people of the community for their relentless efforts in making the Umuezikeukwu a better place.
It is expected that within this period of dry season, more new roads will be created not only in Uba Umuaka but in the entire Umuaka Ebe Iri.
