1 min readBy the time all the activities mapped out for the peaceful transition of the late HRH Eze Samuel Iheukwumere Anyanwoke drew to an end on Friday 19 April 2024, Umuaka Times reporters went after Dr Mrs Gertie Chiweta Anyanwoke to get her vote of thanks. Dr Anyanwoke who is also addressed as Triple Chief on behalf of Anyanwoke royal family, thanked all the Nsukwe people, both those from the private and public sectors, youth groups, Council of Chiefs both in Nsukwe and Ubakala, Umuahia South LGA and Abia State generally.
The Triple Chief also thanked Amurie Omanze people who came all the way from Imo State to Umuahia for the burial. The appreciation also went to Isiozi Akah and Umuaka community in general who also came for the burial ceremony from Imo State. All the royal fathers and clergymen and many others who came from Ubakala and more were also thanked for their time and energy for all their commitments and sacrifices.
In her final note, she thanked all the women of Nsukwe who helped in no small ways during the preparations for the great burial. She asked God to continue to protect all the persons who came for the event and prayed that God will continue to bless and protect the Eze Anyanwoke family and the people of Nsukwe and Ubakala.
