The chief priest of oghu festival in Ibele Autonomous Community, Chief Goddy Amadike has given his vote of thanks on behalf of those who organized the now famous Oghu Okwuama London Ibele and made it possible for people to witness and be entertained. While speaking during the event last week, Chief Amadike first greeted all the sons of the community and brothers both home and abroad who worked tirelessly round the clock to make sure the event was successfully packaged and held. Chief Amadike also thanked the local organizing committee who in his words played “inestimable role for the success of the event”.
On top personalities who attended the event, Chief Amadike hailed the high profile individuals who found time despite their busy schedules and made it to the occasion. He described such men both from the public and private sectors as the tonic which made the event to reach its peak.
On the role of some boys in Umuaka who try to pollute the oghu festival with the masquerade festival (igba mmanwu), Chief Amadike seriously warn such youths that on no condition should they mix the oghu festival with any other festival that is not known to the people of Umuaka.
