Isiozi Akah born high profile Chief Godwin Emeka Bekee Nwachukwu, (the Oputaobie) has disclosed to Umuaka Times why he donated a football cup tagged Isiozi Akah Unity Cup for his Isiozi Akah youths to contest for. Speaking at Riverside Primary School Isiozi Akah last Sunday being September 29, 2024, Chief Nwachukwu disclosed that, “This Isiozi Unity Cup is the first in Isiozi Akah. The intention of the sponsor is for unity, peace and sportsmanship in Isiozi and to prepare the Isiozi Ocean FC to be well equipped to face other villages in Umuaka Ebeiri come December football season.”
Still speaking on the matter, Chief Nwachukwu appealed to Isiozi men and women to jettison all their differences and use the opportunity offered by the Unity Cup to finally bring peace in the community.
In his conclusion, he thanked Mr Gerald Ibegbulem, the PG of the community and many others for all their efforts and commitments.
