A youthful PDP stalwart in Umundugba Isu LGA Hon John Paul Onuoha has disclosed to Umuaka Times why he wants to become the next councilor to represent his Umundugba Ward 2 community in Isu LGA of Imo State.
According to a copy of a document which he made available to Umuaka Times when the local affairs correspondents of the newspaper paid him an official visit at his Texas Bar and Nightlife office in Umuokparadim Nnerim Ndugba, the young politician told the visiting journalists that he is in politics to bring real change and effective representation to the people of his Umundugba Ward 2. In his own words, Hon. Onuoha simply told Umuaka Times thus: “You know, the position I am going for is a grassroots position and what our people need now is how to bring governance to the grassroots. It is this purpose that drives my will to serve my people. I will run a transparent councillorship if voted.”
On a similar development, Hon John Paul Onuoha told the newspaper that the zoning formula favoured his people of Umuezeala Nnerim as Ezi Isu and Nnerim have collectively zoned the mandate to Umuezeala Nnerim. He appealed to his people to rally around him and ensure that he brings home the councillorship victory.
Umuaka Times was reliably informed that from the day Hon. Onuoha emerged as the PDP flag bearer for Umundugba Ward 2 councillorship, he has been meeting top community and PDP leaders in the area to seek their total support. Bishop as he is fondly called by friends and close confidents is said to be known for his social uprightness and integrity. A top party official in his community described him as “a man with no criminal record.”
For now, the supporters of Hon John Paul Onuoha are busy reaching out to voters and doing their best to convince them to vote for Hon John Paul. In their opinion, they are of the view that “let the best of us lead the rest of us.”
