High Chief Eddy Ikwubuo, Chairman of the Obiato Uba Umuaka Council of Chiefs, recently shared with Umuaka Times the reasoning behind the council’s decision to register the organization with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). According to High Chief Ikwubuo, also known as Agunaechemba Njaba, “Any group operating without official recognition is like a tree without roots – vulnerable to being uprooted at any moment.”

The Agunechemba Njaba explained that registering with CAC protects the organization from potential duplication and ensures its legitimacy. High Chief Ikwubuo expressed his satisfaction with the registration milestone, thanking members who worked tirelessly to achieve this goal. He encouraged the Obiato community to continue supporting the organization and promoting its values and appealed to the general public to respect the new status of the organization.

By registering with CAC, the Obiato Uba Council of Chiefs has taken a significant step towards securing its future and solidifying its position as a respected community organization.
