Family announces burial of late Madam Anna Nwanaebe Oniwu of Amurie Omanze.

The family of late Pa James NnawugoOnoniwu of Obiato, AmurieOmanze Autonomous Community in Isu Local Government Area of Imo State, has announced the death of their beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt and grandmother, late Madam Anna NwanaebeOniwu, popularly known as Nwachinemere. Madam Anna, who was 72 years old, reportedly passed away after a brief illness.

In a press statement made available to Umuaka Times, the family, in a funeral announcement signed by Hon. Charles C. Ononiwu, the first son of the deceased, described the death of his mother as a painful loss and expressed gratitude for the life she lived and the memories she left behind.According to the funeral arrangements released by the family, the burial will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in accordance with Jehovah’s Witness arrangements.
The program will begin at 8:00 a.m., when the body will leave Divine Mortuary, Umundugba, for her hometown in AmurieOmanze. The body is expected to arrive at the family home at 11:00 a.m., where it will lie in state.
The funeral service will subsequently be held at her compound in Obiato, AmurieOmanze, after which the interment will follow at 12 noon.
The family has appealed to relatives, friends, associates and well-wishers to join them in honouring the memory of the deceased and supporting the family during the period of mourning.
The funeral announcement concluded with the family prayer: “May her gentle soul rest in peace, Amen.”
